Testimonials

  • I have a few bespoke pieces, tailored by Angeline. Working with Angeline is a dream. She listens to your needs and wants, offers suggestions. Her fabrics are gorgeous; her designs timeless and high quality. I will treasure and wear my pieces for many years to come.

    -Michelle T

  • Her designs are creative, she has unique textiles with amazing color selection, and her detailing is impeccable. I find her clothes easy to wear while elevating my wardrobe. Now that Angeline knows me she sends me new ideas when she comes out with new designs which I love.

    -Charlie H

  • Aoeicouture's custom designs are flawless. I asked for a custom modern cheongsam and she brought me three different designs to choose from. In the end I chose the two-piece cheongsam top and skirt. She also offered several different fabric options at varying price points in order to work within my budget. The end result was beautiful!

FAQ

  • How much does a custom dress cost?

The cost of a custom dress depends on the complexity of the design and material. Typically, a mid-length dress or classic qipao starts from $500 while a wedding gown starts from $2,000.

  • How long does it take to make a custom dress?

A semi-custom dress (customized from an existing a.oei design) takes between 4 - 6 weeks. A fully-custom dress that is designed and constructed entirely from scratch takes between 6 - 15 weeks.

Please include your event date in the form above. If you need a dress earlier than our standard timeline, we will add a rush-order fee.

  • What if the final dress doesn't fit?

We will work closely with you throughout the process to ensure the right fit — this includes scheduling fittings where necessary. We also offer 1 complimentary alteration of the final dress.

  • International / out-of-town orders?

We will schedule a virtual consultation to discuss your idea. During the consultation, we will show you digital sketches and fabric renderings to help you visualize the design. We will also guide you through the measurement-taking process (we recommend having a friend with you who can assist with taking measurements).

During the creation process, we may send you the fabric swatch and a prototype to try on before we sew the final dress.

  • What kind of fabrics do you use?

As a sustainable fashion atelier, we prioritize the use of natural fibers like silk and cotton, and regenerated wood-pulp fibers like Tencel, sourced from Japan, South Korea and Italy.

We also create our own textile artwork that are digitally printed on silk and cotton. These exclusive fabrics add story and texture to the design.

You can select from our range of in-house fabrics or we can work with you to source for a different fabric.

  • Can you repurpose my dress after the wedding?

Yes! We believe in creating durable and meaningful clothing, and have extended the lifecycle of clients’ wedding gowns (and even their mothers’ dresses) by repurposing them into daywear.
